PSEG has taken significant steps to cut its own carbon emissions by drastically transforming its generation portfolio: We have invested more than $1.7 billion to develop solar farms in New Jersey and around the U.S. In 2017, we closed our last two coal-fired New Jersey power plants, and we are working with the state to preserve the Salem and Hope Creek nuclear plants, which generate approximately 90 percent of the state’s carbon-free electricity.
